No Deliveries

OK, I’m a little confused on the release date since Goodreads says April and NetGalley says March... but since I’ve already posted the video on YouTube I’m going with the March release date and posting this review (maybe) early.

The Night She Disappeared
Written by: April Henry
Released: April 10, 2012 (March 13, 2012) by Henry Holt Books for Young Readers

Summary: Gabie drives a Mini Cooper. She also works part time as a delivery girl at Pete’s Pizza. One night, Kayla—another delivery girl—goes missing. To her horror, Gabie learns that the supposed kidnapper had asked if the girl in the Mini Cooper was working that night. Gabie can’t move beyond the fact that Kayla’s fate was really meant for her, and she becomes obsessed with finding Kayla. She teams up with Drew, who also works at Pete’s. Together, they set out to prove that Kayla isn’t dead—and to find her before she is.

Though this isn't a character driven novel, it's really plot driven and you're always left guessing what's going to happen next. With the alternating character viewpoints, you really get a broad look at the entire picture which adds more suspense to the story and really makes you question whether there will be a happy outcome.

All in all, a really great thriller, a fast read, and something that may give you nightmares. I give it an 8/10. Sorry that the review is so short – my camera was acting up horrendously.

I received this e-ARC from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
